Integrity and Honesty in the Curriculum
Note to Educators: The following lesson will lead your students through a discussion about honesty and integrity. It is my hope that your students truly benefit from the discussion and applying the concepts into the math or science classroom.
Objective:
¨Students will identify specific actions that indicate honesty and integrity.
¨Students will identify specific actions that indicate a lack of honesty and integrity.
¨Students will reflect on the importance of being a person of integrity.
¨Students will discuss situations in which honesty and integrity are not the easiest choice to make.

Honest: (of a person) truthful or able to be trusted; not likely to steal, cheat, or lie, or (of actions, speech, or appearance) showing these qualities. (Cambridge Dictionaries Online, 2013)
Integrity: Doing what is right even when NO ONE is looking OR
as defined by T. Lickona in The Content of Our Character; Ten Essential Virtues, is “Adhering to moral principle, being faithful to moral conscience, keeping our word, and standing up for what we believe” (Pg. 2, para 8).
